LOCATION

WHERE WE ARE

We are delighted to be hosting the festival on the historic grounds of Hutton-in-the-Forest, Penrith, located in the beautiful Lake District.

TRAVEL TO 42 DEGREES

You can get to the 42 Degrees site easily via train or car. For more details about journey planning for different transport options and for info about how we are dealing with travel carbon emissions, read on!

ECOLIBRIUM AND OFF-SETTING YOUR TRAVEL

42 Degrees asks everyone traveling to our site (from attendees to performers and suppliers) to off-set their travel-related carbon emissions. Travel is often the biggest source of carbon emissions associated with festivals and since 42 Degrees is dedicated to reducing its emissions and environmental impact we have teamed up with ecolibrium in order to measure, balance and off-set unavoidable emissions caused by travel.

You can calculate the carbon footprint of your particular transport journey to us and choose to donate towards off-setting programmes (e.g. for renewable energy and foresting), supported and verified by ecolibrium, at the point of ticket purchase, or here: https://ecolibrium.earth/travel-carbon-calculator/

We realise this isn’t a financial possibility for everyone and so travel off-setting is not a requirement for our attendees.

TRAIN

You can easily get to our site via our local train station - Penrith (North Lakes). Using public transport is one of the best ways to keep the carbon footprint of your travel small, so we highly recommend it!

There are direct train routes to our local station from London. From Penrith (North Lakes) station we can provide bookable shuttle buses to our site. Booking a slot for this service will cost a small extra fee and you will be dropped off at the site entrance.

CAR/SHARE

If driving to our site, bring as many people with you in your vehicle as you can! Share your cost of fuel and carbon emissions. Share with friends and family, or, if you have a spare seat advertise it through GoCarShare: https://gocarshare.com/festival
